چکیده

The beach vitex (Vitex rotundifolia L.), a member of the Lamiaceae family, is salt-tolerant, woody perennial common in coastal areas worldwide. Plant–fungal association was monitored shoreline forest area Wando Island Korea 2020, and leaf samples showing spot disease were collected. Eight fungal isolates recovered from on PDA identified based morphological characteristics multilocus molecular phylogeny. Among eight isolates, four as Alternaria alternata, two Fusarium humuli, one Colletotrichum aenigma, Stagonosporopsis caricae. Pathogenicity tests detached leaves revealed that S. caricae CMML20–2 A. alternata (CMML20–7, CMML20–8, CMML20–9, CMML20–10) caused lesions while other species did not. caricae, C. F. humuli are first reported host worldwide, Korea. In vitro fungicide sensitivity assays carried out measurement diametrical mycelial growth media amended with different doses fungicides fludioxonil, metconazole, fluxapyroxad. Fungicide varied significantly among species, more sensitive to fluxapyroxad than isolates. Our study contributes understanding diversity mycology demonstrates pathogenic fungi including might accelerate decline health.

Beach dune sand hydrophobicity due to the presence of beach vitex ( Vitex rotundifolia L. f.).

Conservation and preservation concerns have led to efforts to understand mechanisms of invasiveness and the effects these mechanisms have on the environment. Vitex rotundifolia L. f. [beach vitex (BV)] was introduced as a salt-tolerant woody ground cover, but it has since become invasive on primary and secondary dunes in coastal areas of the southeastern United States. Much of its invasive pote...

Anti-inflammatory constituents from the fruits of Vitex rotundifolia.

Three new diterpenes (7, 15 and 17) and two new neolignans (19 and 20) along with nineteen known compounds have been isolated from the fruits of Vitex rotundifolia. Their structures were elucidated by a combination of 1D and 2D NMR, HRESI-MS, and CD data. All isolates were tested for their inhibitory activities on LPS-induced nitric oxide production in RAW264.7 cells. Of these, compounds 3, 4, ...

Antioxidative Constituents from the Twigs of Vitex rotundifolia

In the course of screening for antioxidant compounds by measuring the radical scavenging effect on DPPH (1,1-diphenyl2-picrylhydrazyl), a total extract of the twigs of Vitex rotundifolia (Verbenaceae) was found to show potent antioxidant activity. Subsequent activity-guided fractionation of the methanolic extract led to the isolation of three iridoid compounds, 10-O-vanilloylaucubin (1), 10-O-p...
